Hydrogen production in Mauritania

Empowering sustainable innovation for a greener tomorrow.

The plan

Producing hydrogen in Mauritania using the Kacso Electrolysers represents a significant advancement in sustainable energy technology for the region. The Kacso Electrolysers, known for their high efficiency and reliability, can utilize Mauritania’s abundant renewable energy resources, such as solar and wind power, to produce green hydrogen. This process not only provides a clean energy alternative but also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. By harnessing these electrolyzers, Mauritania can position itself as a leader in the green hydrogen economy, potentially exporting hydrogen to other countries and driving economic growth while promoting environmental sustainability.

Location of our main site in Mauritania

What will we use Hydrogen for

Net zero fuel for electricity generation

Internal combustion engine modified to run on Propane or Hydrogen. Power anywhere with no emissions other than water.

Ammonia Production

Many companies now have small scale Ammonia plants which use Hydrogen and green electricity. This one is in Columbia.

Green steel production

Mauritania can produce green steel from it’s iron ore. The processes are well established We will support this as far we can.

Low cost reverse osmosis desalination / water purification

To produce Hydrogen by PEM electrolysis, the water has to be very pure. In developing this component we found a way to achieve this very cost effectively and will be offering this as a separate product.
